Before you start to burn Blu-ray, DVD or 4K Blu-ray with Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator, please get the below things well prepared:

l  Source video files or pictures ready for burning. You could put all source videos/pictures in one folder for convenience.

l  Blank writable discs and disc drive if you want to burn video to DVD, Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray disc. Insert disc into the disc drive that’s connected to your computer beforehand.

l  Make sure your computer has enough storage space to store and handle the 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD authoring.

Step 1: Choose Module

After launching Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator, you could see all 3 tabs: DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Blu-ray, which represent DVD Creator, Blu-ray Creator and UHD Creator (4K Blu-ray Creator) respectively. You need to firstly decide which module you want to use. To burn DVD, open the DVD tab. To burn Blu-ray, open the Blu-ray tab. And click the 4K UHD tab to burn 4K Blu-ray.

 

Once you decide the module, choose the output disc type at the bottom right according to your needs. If you want to burn videos/photos to disc, make sure you have inserted a blank writable disc into the disc drive that’s connected to your computer.

l  If you are burning DVD, you can set its format as either PAL or NTSC, set the disc capacity as either DVD5 (4.7G) or DVD9 (8.5G), and set the Aspect Ratio from 16:9 and 4:3.

l  If you are burning Blu-ray, you can choose Blu-ray resolution from 1080P (1920x1080) and 720P (1280x720), set one disk capacity from BD25, BD50, BD66 and BD100, and determine the frame rate from 23.976fps, 25fps, 29.97fps, 50fps and 59.94fps.

l  If you are burning 4K UHD, the resolution is set to be 4K (3840x2160). But you could set the disk capacity from BD25, BD50, BD66 and BD100, and the frame rate from 23.976fps, 25fps, 29.97fps, 50fps and 59.94fps.

Determine these according to your disc type or actual needs.

Step 2: Add Source Videos/Photos

Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator offers 2 ways for you to add source video or photo files:

l  Click the “Add Video” or “Add Picture” button to browse and load source video or photo files respectively.

l  Or, you could directly drag and drop source video or photo files to Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator from your computer.

After loading source media files, you could view source media info, and select subtitles and audio tracks from source media files, or even add external subtitles for burning Blu-ray/DVD/4K Blu-ray. If your video file contains multi-track and multi-subtitle, you can choose the audio tracks and subtitles you need here. Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator supports multi-track and multi-subtitle output, which is currently not available by other Blu-ray/DVD/4K Blu-ray burners.

Step 3: Edit Media Files (Optional)

Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator offers internal media editor feature to let you edit loaded videos or generated photo slideshow before burning to Blu-ray/DVD/4K Blu-ray content. By clicking the edit button in the right of each loaded video or generated photo slideshow panel, you could enter the Video Setting or Gallery Setting panel.

1. Edit Loaded Video

On the “Video Setting” panel, you could:

l  Trim the video by setting Start Time and End Time, so as to burn the video clip only you want to Blu-ray/DVD/4K Blu-ray.

l  Adjust the Volume Zoom by up to 300%.

l  Insert chapters every certain minutes or manually insert chapters at the time point you prefer, or choose to insert no chapters.

l  Specify Audio and Subtitle by setting Lang options under the “Audio” and “Subtitle” tabs. You can set the languages of the audio tracks and subtitles here for convenient playback control.

2. Edit Generated Photo Slideshow

On the “Gallery Setting” panel, you could:

l  Add external pictures, remove existing pictures, and arrange photo order on the right sidebar.

l  Set the Stay Time, Transition Time, and Transition Effect of each photo.

l  Add background music from your local music library, and set the music effect including: Fade in, Fade out, Loop Play, and Volume Zoom.

l  Set the background music Start Time and End Time. You could apply

l  Insert chapters for generated photo slideshow every certain minutes or add no chapter.

Once you have completed all these settings, click the blue “OK” button to save changes and quit to the main interface.

Step 4: Set Disc Menu

By default, Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator would burn 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray or DVD without disc menu. But Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator offers quite a few disc menu templates for you to choose from for burning to DVD, Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray content, and even allows you to edit disc menu upon your own needs. By clicking the “Select Menu” button on Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator, you could enter the disc menu selecting and editing panel.

1. Choose Disc Menu from Presets

On the right sidebar, you could see 20+ preset disc menu templates. You could freely choose one and get instant preview of selected disc menu template. You could preview various layers of disc menu, including Top Menu, Scene Menu, Setup Menu, Audio Menu and Subtitle Menu.

2. Edit Disc Menu

While Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator offers multiple preset disc menu templates, it also enables you to customize with preset disc menu template with your own preferred elements. Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator offers you full control of disc menu via the internal disc menu editor.

2.1 Basic Disc Menu Settings

Yuhan Blu-ray DVD Creator enables you to make some basic settings of disc menu, including:

l  First Play: Browse and upload a clip from your computer to set as the very first clip of disc menu.

l  Skip Menu: Once checked, menu will be skipped every time you play burned 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD content on players.

l  Highlight Color: Set the color to highlight the button when your mouse or remote controller hovers on.

l  Scene Page Display: Choose the display way to show the Page menu in either File (Text), File (Icon), Chapter (Text) or Chapter (Icon).

l  Item Count of Text Page: Decide the numbers of items on Page menu when it’s displayed in Text mode.

2.2 Set Background Image

Under the “Background Image”, you are allowed to add either image or video as background from your local drive. You could even check the “Apple to all pages” option to apply the uploaded video or image as background for all menu layers. You could get instant preview of added background image. If you add video as background, the instant preview is not available, but it will take effect in the burned output. Make sure that the duration of background video is limited to 60s.

2.3 Add Background Music

Under the “Background Music” tab, you could browse and upload your favorite song from your computer local drive as background music. You could set the background music effect including Fade In, Fade Out, Loop Play, and Volume Zoom. As well, you could set precise background duration by setting the Start Time and End Time, which will take effect once the “Apply” button is clicked. By checking the “Apply to all pages” option, you could apply uploaded song as background music to all menu pages.

2.4 Other Disc Menu Editing Features

Besides, you could also make changes to titles on every menu layer, like double clicking to change title content, text font, color, size, location, etc., adjusting title position via drag-and-drop, delete a menu layer, etc.

2.4.1 Customize Title

By double clicking the title on any menu, a dialog box will pop up. On the new popup “Setting” window, you can set its content ("#" is a newline character), font, size, and its precise position.

2.4.2 Customize Thumbnail

Double click the thumbnail icon on any menu and then a dialog box will pop up. You can upload your own picture to replace the thumbnail, set its size and its exact position.

2.4.3 Remove Menu Items

Click the item on any menu layer, and then you will see a red box. By pressing the Delete* key on the keyboard, you can remove the menu item. The menu items that can be removed are: the title, thumbnail and "Setup" button, and part of the text menu on the sub-menu.

 

Note: The “Detete” key on certain Mac computers might not work. In such case, you could press the “Backspace” key or “ALT+Delete” combination.

 

You could change any layer of menu and then get instant preview by selecting the menu layer directly.

Make sure you have clicked the “OK” button to save all changes and return to the main interface after you have done with the disc menu selecting and customization.

Step 5: Complete Burning Settings

Once you have done all the disc menu and media editing settings, you then need to complete the burning settings. These include program general settings and specific burning settings.

1. Program Settings

Click the inverted triangle icon at the top-right corner, and then choose “Settings” option to enter the program’s Setting window, where you could complete general burning settings for faster and smoother 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD burning.

On the “Settings” panel, you could:

l  Set Blu-ray & UHD Processing Mode from Transcode and Passthrough options. Passthrough mode could fast restore the content originated from other Blu-rays for fast and quality-lossless burning, while Transcode will re-code videos for burning.

l  Set Video Decoder, Blu-ray Encoder, UHD Encoder, UHD HDR & SDR, Bitrate for DVD, Blu-ray and UHD respectively.

l  Choose either Audio Encoder or Audio Copy mode for audio burning.

l  Set the size of Text Subtitle Size.

These settings could be applied to all burning tasks.

2. Burning Settings

With all other settings done, you could now click the red “Start” button to call out the “Preset” window, which specifies the settings for instant burning settings. Refer to the below explanation to learn how to complete these settings:

l  Save As: Choose to burn Blu-ray/DVD/4K Blu-ray folder, ISO File, and/or Disc. If you want to burn disc, you need to insert a writable disc into the disc drive that’s connected to your computer.

l  Disc Volume: Specify a disc volume for the output.

l  Burner: Choose the right disc drive you want to burn to when you want to burn disc. Refresh it if it doesn’t appear here after you have connected it to your computer already.

l  Video Decoder: Choose either Software(CPU) decoding or GPU hardware decoding.

l  Video Encoder: Choose either Software(CPU) encoding or GPU hardware encoding.

l  Save To: Specify a directory to save the burned Folder or ISO Image File.

After you have specified all these settings, click the blue “Start” button to start burning 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray or DVD content.
