Heic image is a new image format. Since the internal beta of iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra (10.13), Apple has set HEIC as the default format for image storage. Now more and more Android phones are also supported, like Google phone, Samsung phone, Sony phone, etc. Compared to JPG, it takes up less space and has better picture quality.
However, this format cannot be opened directly in Windows using image viewing software (Windows 10 RS4 began to support this format).
